JOSE SANTOS
Jose Santos was born in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, and has spent the past 20 years cooking delights and pleasing many of Sydney's most discerning meat connoisseurs. His CV includes the Sydney’s Wildfire restaurant, where he was a chef and the creation of the BBQ kitchen at the renowned The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney. “The Barbecue King” as he is known likes to keep things simple in the kitchen, by using tasty, natural and organic ingredients, transforming traditional Brazilian dishes into mouth-watering, unforgettable experiences. Jose has taken on the significant challenge of shaping Brazilian food culture in Sydney through the ingredients he uses in his dishes. Today, the co-founder of Barbicrew is also a respected consultant, working with many other well-known groups across Australia.

BALU GIMINEZ
Balu Gimenez was born in São Paulo, Brazil. After graduating university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Publicity, Balu came to Australia in 2006 and brought with him 9 years experience in events management and marketing roles. Since then he has continued his love for events and added several years of experience working in the Australian wholesale meat industry. Today Balu, co-founder of Barbicrew, is one of the prominent personalities and entrepreneurs in Sydney’s thriving Brazilian community, producing several Brazilian/Australian events and festivals, utilizing his creative skills coupled with a highly motivated work ethic. He brings the essential energy and experience which makes Barbicrew service a success.
